Found and bought their album next day. I was blow away by their performance. From time to time I’ll take the album out and play it to reminisce. Don’t know how such a great band didn’t go on to more popularly. In my mind, they stole the show. Absolutely fabulous. I went out the next day and bought the album. Wore it out. I have used "The Example" as a teaching tool in my 8th grade Language Arts classes for years. "Silver Horn" is a song that my grandkids enjoy hearing me sing in my "altered" Irish accent. And, "Soft September" is as pretty a song as you could ever hear, just beautifully written. One of my 4 greatest groups from the 70"s, along with Goose Creek Symphony, Jethro Tull, and the Moody Blues. J.F. Murphy & Salt made a huge impact in late 60s and early 70s rock, forming a New York band that achieved cult-like status. Part of the hippie/psychedelic movement, J.F. Murphy & Salt played at the legendary debacle, Powder Ridge Rock Festival. Aside from the rampant use of recreational drugs, this period in rock developed a political dimension that couldn't be ignored. J.F. Murphy & Salt remains a legend in this era, giving listeners of that era fond rock memories.

@Thx Marios & Lamz!adamus67https://www.blogger.com/profile/07035959023698485029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7379959197726431640.post-55593401550592692922013-02-15T11:50:24.383+02:002013-02-15T11:50:24.383+02:00Never heard it before.
