Top Drawer - Solid Oak (1969 us, fetching heavy psych blues)



Top Drawer hailed from the rural center of the United States, coming right out of Kentucky. There aren’t many facts to be said about the band, considering they were around back in 1969-1970 and they only have one album that I am aware of. Their one and only album, titled “Solid Oak”, was recorded back in 1969 at Fultz Recording Studio over in Kentucky, and if you have one of these original records in mint condition, it could sell for well over a hundred dollars. The album is constantly being sought out due to it’s rarity.

    I listened TD sample here for the first time ever. Seems good musicians but a little softer voice for this category. Should listen other tracks to complete my view Thanks.

    TOP DRAWER recorded their LP in Kentucky however they were actually from Mansfield Ohio. How they ended up recording a record in Fairdale Kentucky (a small town near Louisville) I have yet to find out.

    I've discovered this through the Hunters too...chills went down my spine. Song of a sinner could have been written and recorded yesterday. Would have been apt for many other TV series too, like True Detective, Tin Star or Leftovers

    oh well, if that justifies hundreds of illegal uploads, tell that to the courts when you are on the stand for copyright infringement! I don't think it'll work, ha.

    There is no copyright infringement - the downloads are samples for prospective purchasers, or for educational purposes.
